About Pakman

What are the Pakman Awards?

The Pakman Awards are Ireland's Top National Environmental Awards that recognise excellence in recycling and waste management among businesses, organisations, community groups and individuals in Ireland.  Now all organisations who demonstrate their sustainability and environmental efforts may enter.

The Pakman Awards are divided into 12 categories ranging from Community Recycling Initiatives, Innovation in Waste Resource Products or Services to Business Recycling Champions and Waste Prevention Awards.

How to enter

The awards are FREE to enter and, on behalf of our sponsors, we welcome entries from both small and large organisations, businesses, community groups and individuals all over Ireland.

Entries to the relevant category may be submitted through our online submissions portal. The 2021 Pakman Awards are now open for entries and you can view our full list of categories and enter here. Entry to the 7th Annual Pakman Awards will close on the 31 August 2021.

Covid 19 impact

Unfortunately, due to the impact of Covid-19 on businesses in Ireland, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Awards. We did however, go ahead with the Plastic Pledge Award Category.
The 2020 Plastic Pledge Award was streamed live from Croke Park on 9 December, 2020, with special guest Mr Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport and were hosted by Anna Geary. The  winner of the 2020 Plastic Pledge category was Aldi.
